His reluctance to one keeper and stick with his choice probably clouds my judgement of him. It;s like he was trying to make his name as some progressive inventor of the game of football.

I think you're right about me being over critical of him during the season he was with us. I just can't stand what he represents in terms of how the game is played.

Possibly I’m biased the other way in that I just don’t think he’s anything like some of the other managers we’ve had in terms of arrogance (arguably you need that to succeed at the top level) or being wedded to one way of playing.

He’s definitely lost his chance of a long career at the top by going to Chelsea & West Ham though. Obviously his bank balance will be ok but I’d also argue he deserves it more than many others after a journeyman career in the lower leagues and then uprooting his family to Northern Sweden in order to become a coach.

He does strike me as a very humble guy.

Chelsea was possibly the wrong club for him, I do have a feeling the his time at Brighton was possibly coming to end as well though.

Do you think the game has evolved from the way he wants the game tomorrow to be played? It's almost like he's become old fashioned.

Totally agree with what you've said about him taking a punt and moving abroad to better himself, can't deny him anyone of taking a chance, I wish more people, me included did that.

Always felt that any set price in our half - corner, throw in, free kick, was going to end up in the back of our net. Could not defend balls in to the box and it was slightly depressing as the football wasn’t too bad.
