• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

St Austell's Proper Job, Timothy Taylors Landlords, Glamorgan Breweries Welsh Pale Ale, Conwy Breweries Clogwyn Gold, Gower Gold, Gower Power, Shipyards IPA. Adnams Ghost Ship, Oakham Ales Citra there's a few other's I've tried, but can't think of them.

I've ordered beers direct from Butcombe's, Oakham's and Conwy Breweries.

I've a Perfect Draft machine and tried lots of their kegs, ales mostly, but they do Peroni and San Miguel as well now, be ordering a few of them before the summer rush think Peroni is sold out at moment.

Out of those I know that I have tried Proper Job, Gower Gold, Shipyards, Ghost Ship. Will look for the others next time I'm in there. Clogwyn Gold sounds delightful.

Was in the Croeso lounge today Max, the Moretti wasn't that good, flat as a pancake...
That's another one that Perfect draft do, I prefer the ales mostly, but don't mind some lagers Madri isn't bad, San Miguel or Peroni is mostly favoured though.

Take a look online at their brewery, if you do get a few bottles don't lie them down in fridge, they do suffer from some sediment.

Knows his stuff.
Well, I'm lucky if I can go out for a pint once a fortnight, so I look online for ales and look in Tesco/Morrisions for different beers to try, every working man needs a hobby/hobbies!

Whatever happened to Carling Premier?
Everyone from all ages and walks of life would be pissing their jeans and fasto on it.
It was lovely too

That was my go to lager for decades, in pubs when you could get it on draught and in cans at home after that. Sadly, they discontinued it in cans in about April last year. I drunk my last ever Premier cans on my birthday last June. I still have a photo of the last eight empty little soldiers. :ROFLMAO: I loved the stuff, drank it every weekend for years and I miss it terribly.

Right, I’m off to make another appointment with my grief counsellor now.
