Always a tough one saying how big a club is. Is it on historical success - if so Brighton are minnows, on average crowds - Brighton are a biggish regional club, on catchment area - Brighton are massive. I'd say we're a big regional club.We suffered 2 decades of being homeless which saw crowds plummet but we do benefit from huge catchment area, one of biggest in country and we're a 30k home crowd, 3/4k away crowd so a decent Championship sized club. Fair play to all those Lancashire town clubs with big crowds despite the biggest PL teams as neighbours.

I'm fine with my club being fairly obscure in world football. It's my local club, I love them and that's the way it is. I reckon Brighton are about same as Swansea and Cardiff and Pompey.

Here's a question : biggest club not to have played in the Premier League? I reckon it's between Luton, Bristol City and Rovers, Preston, Plymouth.

How can you describe Brighton and ourselves being on a same level as Cardiff ffs!
