Bonkers few days with storms, gales etc

Has everyone's garage doors withstood the batterings?
I've had no end of debris fly into my garden.
I've had to have a few slurps to steady my resolve.
Saw a dustbin without a lid blow up a hill.....I wish I'd filmed it!!! It was so surreal.

Hope all are ok👍🤞

Bored sh!tless. The wind is picking up again, its p!ssin with rain. Now they are forecasting snow this week. FFS.
To top it all the Olymics are over, and there is naff all on the tv. Iam however ver excited as the missus has just given me a zip to fix, which should take a while and stave off the boredom. 🥴👍🤪👍

Had a great last week. We’ve been visiting our family near Stevenage and it looks like the winds have not been so bad as back home. 🙂
A week with the grandchildren makes up for the inclement weather and almost glosses over the Swans match. 🙄
Saying that, I’m sitting in the car at the services on M4 and the journey back has been horrendous, the wind and rain have not eased up at all so far and looking like it’s in for the day.
Can’t get home soon enough to relax for a while. We’re not getting any younger and a week with the kids is exhausting. 😁

The neighbours' fence came down. It comes down every year. They always sort it promptly.

The biggest inconvenience was the wind being too strong for me to cycle down to Brynmill with the dog on Friday. The brownies at One Shoe Cafe are to die for.

I forgot to ask, was it a european or african trampoline.

We’ve lost a lot of fencing and the annoyance is that most of the posts snapped and left the concrete in the ground. I’m thinking mini digger for the repair job.

Attempting to travel today. Boarded 10:22 from Swansea only to find out that it was terminating at Bristol Temple Meads and not going to Paddington. Took nearly two hours to reach Cardiff so bailed out into a taxi. £230 Cardiff to Heathrow made worse by the fact that the M4 was closed J8 to J6. Need not have rushed as the flight is nearly three hours late.

No point in complaining as we’re all in it together, and of course there are those who have lost much more in the recent weather.

Can you get the timber out of the concrete base, you could leave that insitu, and knock the new timber posts in,worth a try, specially if the concrete is solid.🤔

Not too good at the moMent, my farmers are playing up a bit, will probably have to makE a visit to the chemisT tomorrow for some SudocrEm

It’s been a boring and dull few days. A number of ridge tiles came off my roof which are going to need sorting, it’s a hassle but it could have been worse, the pet rabbits pen took a direct hit but they were locked away and were unharmed. My parents also lost a few tiles, that’s a hassle I’m going to have to sort out and it looks like we’ll be keeping the local roofer busy.

Nobody injured though and that’s what counts.
