If I had more time, Swansea would have stayed in the Premier League

Carlos Carvalhal takes his Braga team to Rangers tomorrow night in the Europa League and still holds a regret from his time at Swansea – that he could not keep them in the Premier League. Carvalhal arrived in a chaotic final season in the top flight and brought a resurgence in form that looked to...

Strange quote from him because the longer the season went on the worse we became.

Cant see what he's taking about, he got us out of the shit only to drop us back in it.

Exactly. Got us winning games ( beating Liverpool and Arsenal in the same week ) then he later he lost his nerve and we couldn't beat or even draw against an awful Southampton side

The last two months of his tenure here can be summed up in the way we set up in that FA Cup quarter final against Spurs.

He had done the hard work with those wins over Liverpool and Arsenal and then just let it slip from there

We should never have been relegated from the position he got us into - the fact that we were was down to him so I dont get his "I needed more time" argument

Forgot about the Spurs cup game.
He could have achieved greatness with us by keeping us up and possibly getting to an FA Cup Final for the first time ever but totally bottled both.
Inexplicable

Complete bottle job.

But to be fair, maybe it was a blessing in disguise, Jenkins with somebody else's money was dangerous in the Premier League.

There's precious little more damage Jenkins could have done than what he did during that final season. Completely crippled us for years afterwards.

A season earlier would maybe have helped.

As for CC, he's forgetting those last 10 games. What was it, 2 points?

A ridiculous comment from him. Performances were getting worse and with no sign of turnaround.

Now that it’s been mentioned I remember the Spurs game. Lunch time kick off if my memory serves me correct and we were out of the game by halftime.

I remember Jose Mourinho calling him the manager of the season for keeping us up when we had about 6 or 7 games to go. Kiss of death that turned out to be.

I wouldn't be so sure, god knows who we would have signed that Summer for ridiculous money, and then in January for what would be a complete panic due to another relegation battle.

But yeah a year earlier probably would have helped I agree.

We thrashed West Ham and then got a great point at Huddersfield after we played 80 minutes with ten men and they battered us, but after that game and without (J) Ayew we didn't look like we knew how to score a goal in the last 6/7 games.

It is just breathtaking cheek and lack of self awareness. The bloke is a delusional fantasist, entirely responsible for taking us down, because he had too much time.
