• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

My three.
1. George Best. I'd ask him if he'd do anything differently.

2. Dylan Thomas. For being probably the most well known Jack of all time and massive ale lover

3. Irish Comedian David Tynan O'Mahony (Dave Allen), loved his whisky, and didn't give a feck who he upset, anyone was game...

My pub of choice for this get-together would be the Harbour Inn, Solva.
Fire away 😎

John Bonham.

John Lennon.

George Harrison.

I’d bring Frank Zappa back first though but he probably wouldn’t have a bevy.

Peter Cook

Christopher Hitchens

Spike Milligan

....and I would bring back the wonderful old King Hotel in the Bont to host them.

Elliott Smith
Kevin Garcia
David Bowie
Mary Hansen (can I have 4?)

Keith Floyd, I think I'd have a lot in common and would love to experiment pairing what drink goes with what food.

Kirsty MacColl, I'd nip down the chip shop with her to see that disillusioned bloke. Plus I think she was a lovely talented lady and would have loved to see her sing close up with a bevvy.

Groucho Marx, I think I'd die laughing in his company. What a way to go!
