• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Captain Matty.
Well I heard this afternoon 2 very interesting things about Lord Grimes.
1• You wouldn't be surprised to hear that he is very arrogant. He is full of the "do you know who I am" attitude.
2• Apparently he is disliked by the rest of the players. Not good for a captain really, is it ?
Reliable stuff that I heard is that.
If that's true it is completely and utterly spineless from Williams to keep him as captain and to pick him week in week out.

Grimes has a lot of qualities.. he reads the game well and his passing range is consistently good albeit maybe not in the crucial areas.

However, he has very little heart and courage for the battle, he half heartedly competes if at all in the air and even bottles out of 60/40 challenges in his favour. For a CM that is criminal at it best. Even against Norwich yesterday he backed out of key challenges.

The comfort of hiding in defence suits him down to the ground.

Mmm. I'm on fence about this one. I can see it being true as he does come across a bit distant in his interviews. But worked with so many managers and highly regarded by every manager I can't see how not one of them would call him out and change if true. You might be right. Think the issue lies more in his stats his off field captain ways and always been seen as one that will help new new players settle into the club. Personally I don't give to frigs about if a player misses has joined a WhatsApp group. I want blood and guts from a captain and take no prisoners.

Spot on. Something is off. I cannot remember the last time I have seen Grimes give away the ball this much in a season. Either he has lost heart or is just hiding or his true nature is coming out and being exposed.
