Pretty sure his old man works in Risca Comp, pure athletes come through that place.

I don't think that would matter when signing players from the Welsh league would it? I doubt they have any category status at Penybont academy?

And I think that Burnley have the same academy status as us!

Having the same category status is one thing, how the academy is run is another.
 
Was with us as a nipper. Same year group as Joel Cotterill and Ben Lloyd, older than both. Only so many can be kept on and given time and attention, but no idea what his story is or when he left tbh. The local crop we do have in that 17-19 age range is as strong as we've ever had imo.

We've done a bit of recruitment from the Welsh leagues, not sure how many 5 figure fees we've paid out, though. Great to see lads getting second (or third, fourth) chances to push their career onwards at big clubs.
