Is Matt Grimes a legend??

Not a legend. Not even close.

I've wanted to see him go for at least a few seasons now. I actually felt bad about that for a while because there was an article saying how much he loves Swansea and the club, he's put down roots in SW Wales, his family are here etc etc so I thought 'oh well maybe he's a leader off the pitch that the players look up to, and that might make up a bit for his lack of leadership on it'.

So I am glad to see him go and I feel pretty vindicated in my feelings by the reactions of his club-mates.

But I feel no anger towards him for going and I don't sense any real vitriol on here or anywhere else. In 10 years with us he never really excited strong feelings either way, did he? I think @Andrew - North Hill nailed it several pages back. I just don't think we'll need to wait until 2065 to forget him.

Over the past 5 years, a proper legend and the last remaining shred to our unique Swanseaway playing heritage, pedigree and class.

Today exemplified that in so many many ways - on and off the pitch

He hasn't got the balls to be a legend.

The captain that shit out of a relegation scrap and demanded to leave.

I here he's a pin up in the Amish community however.

Chiefo, your standards are slipping mun.
You’re far better than lowering yourself to this material, surely.

Extreme lack of actual content or riposte in your comments Dwight. I'd say your standards have slipped, but you've never been able to provide retorts when challenged.

Discussion with mates, some in the pro Grimes camp, others like me not so fussed about him.
One even stated legendary status. Not in my eyes. Never.
I think the last proper legend we had at the club was Leon, then maybe Rangel.
I’d like to think a legend is a player who’d do anything for the shirt. Martin Thomas scoring against West Ham and playing on after ligament damage shows a certain commitment and dedication to the cause. Grimes has never really put his foot in to get injured. Freestone definitely for loving the club when we were in the bottom two divisions , Michu for obvious reasons and there are quite a few more like Curt Robbie and Charlo who left their mark
