• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

With the rumour of West Brom approaching Russell Martin and turning them down. Do you think he is dillisional enough to think another Premier League Club will come in for him? Or is he just taking a break? Sometimes Managers have to be realistic. I am more than happy to eat my words. Take Williams for example, he would be crazy to move to another club, especially one that fires more than a western gun.

Re Martin, I would imagine he's keen to take a break after his Saints experience this season rather than any misguided notion he's now a manager that can command another PL job. He's arrogant - but I don't think he's that arrogant.

Re Williams, if WBA want him he'll be off. Don't kid yourself otherwise. We're a skinflint club, they'll be able to double or even triple his salary overnight probably.

Martin is delusional enough to believe he’s a talented football manager so he’s definitely delusional enough to think that another Prem club will be after him. Even after the catastrophic fuck up he was at Southampton.

I'm sure he knows just like the rest of us that the appointment of football managers often defies logic and common sense, so it's not out of the question another Prem Club brings him in if he waits, or a half decent European club. No need to be taking the first EFL job that comes calling.
