There is not a chance Russ will face us on boxing day.

Part of me wants to windmill at Russ's plight down the road, but the edge has been taken off a bit due to the fact we are a pile of crap at the moment too...

Yeah, the wheel has turned very quickly for us and the Russbot. And Cooper and Cardiff come to that. Unfortunately with sport, it always happens and just got to suck it up.

Edit, on 'them'. looks like sundo have battered them but they have nicked a 1-0. Just cockroaches.

But he's got a philosophy mun. Does that count for nothing?

This is classic jobbie

Because one individual takes his “philosophy” to the extreme then all talk of a philosophy is invalid. Pragmatism must win.

In reality the successful teams have at their heart a footballing philosophy. It’s even more apparent in 2023. Long ball football is a thing of the past.

Taken from the Saints forum:

I watched the match yesterday with a friend of Russell Manning’s Dad. Apparently RM knew he was off soon after January and told Manning he would take him with him. Not sure whether Saints had put out feelers at that stage but I reckon contact had already been made soon after Selles was appointed.

“ Bring him home” a classic from Les Miserables, c’mon you know it makes sense👍

I knew that he was told in January that they wouldn’t be renewing his contract… the relationship with the owners had completely soured by that point… I don’t think anything was lined up for him at that point tho

Yeah I think they had their heart set on the Leicester manage for top choice.

Speaking of Ryan Manning, I don’t think many Saints fans are rating him so far, another one of the grass isn’t greener players.
