• We have today (22nd April) confirmed the closure of JackArmy.net on 31st May. Our reasons are varied but after a twenty-five year stint at the heart of the online Swansea City community, the time is right for us to bow out.

What saddens me even more is that I genuinely think we are going to be contenders next season. I've watched enough football in the past sixty years to know when a squad and a club are on the up.
It's a ballsache that we won't all be here chewing the fat next season and getting excited about a playoff push.

Fingers crossed 🤞 Pego.
I won’t be able to tell everyone about what’s coming up with the jazz 🥲

It’s held at three different locations at the moment, The Swigg, The Observatory and The Arts Wing at the Grand Theatre.
Give us a shout the next time it's in The Swigg, maybe we can get a few of us up for it 👍🏼

Also we expect people to keep noise to a minimum whilst the artists are playing.
That’s difficult for some 🙄

I haven’t been on here for some years now, I’m more part of the Swans twitter community these days, but still check in most weeks.

Planet Swans (as I’ll always think of it) has definitely been an integral part of my Swans supporting life for years, certainly through our rise through the leagues and into the PL and then out of it again.

Memories and characters (in no particular order) I always think of here - Sir Phil himself obviously, leading from the front and always with a calm and sensible word to steer and guide back on track an often frankly barmy forum, which has always been the main joy too of this place (and massive thanks for his Trust work, when it was an organisation I was proud to be a member of, less said about its’ sad demise and sellout of us members since…), Darren the site’s resident and most legendary poster bar none, absolute nutters like Agent Dimi and angry men like T2C (had some great barneys over the years), and Jackharris with his incomparable match day set ups. Going back I met moscowjack on here and then in real life in Moscow itself with Wales. Then Wales No.1 fan for a time (can’t remember his actual poster name but he was furious with me for going to the Euros when I hadn’t been one of the 7k at Stebo to see Wales v someone). I loved the numbers game on the other board…1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9…😅 Genuinely too many memories and highlights to add them all in here and most I’ve probably forgotten.

This place will absolutely be missed and likely be the end of a generation for some on here I imagine as a part of their Swans supporting life.

I hope this forum can be recreated in some other form/place. I’d certainly look to it if so. But it’ll never be this place and it’ll have an impossible act to follow.

Cheers Phil. You created a Swans institution for so many of us and indivisible from following the team. You and this place won’t be forgotten for the contribution.

You absolute Jack Bastard 🫡
