• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Your reminder that since relegation only about 1 in 5 of our loan signings turns out to actually be any good.

The rest are usually utterly anonymous and you forget they're even here, or they're utter dog shite.

No way I'm giving Coleman any credit yet, even if he does get these deals over the line (still don't trust him to even do that).

Loan with obligation to buy in the summer is a gamble especially if he doesn't work out, but so would be paying £4m now and not having the dosh to bring in anyone else or to sack and replace Williams.

A restructuring of the deal to loan with obligation to buy sounds to me like we are indeed preparing to swing the axe after tomorrow is done and dusted otherwise there wouldn't really be a need for that kind of structure on the deal.

If we get two in tomorrow on top and Luke gone Tuesday... what a week!

Just have to remember Ogbeta, Burns & Celina all came through the Manc academy, let’s not hope for too much and see how he gets on.

I'll give you the first two, but Celina was decent, albeit a bit flaky. He'd stand out like a pearl among shit in this team.

Far too much expectation on them imo. They’re sent here to gain some experience of being in a first team squad and then we expect them to save our season.

Very good point. We had plenty of young players on loan who struggled to impress even when we were good. While we had the likes of Borini and Caulker, we also had Nouble, Brandy, McEachran...

Big gamble the lad from the scabs mind, 40k a week for a player who's hardly played a first team game for 18 months...

And he was 3 years older than this kid and had full seasons at Twente and Ipswich under his belt.
Celina played one game for Citeh (when he was 19) and Jacob has 4 appearances under his belt. Celina went to Ipswich who were in the Championship so there are some similarities apart from Jacob playing 4 times as many games for Citeh. I do think that he is also regarded more highly than Celina.

There’s been comparisons to Rodri and lots of Man City fans are frustrated that he hasn’t seen more game time because they’re crying out for a player like him right now

Makes it all the more surprising that he's about to join a struggling championship outfit rather than a mid-table Premier league side...

Hell of player if he is being compared to Rodri after 4 appearances.
