Jacob Wright - £4m

I'll wait till I see them in a shirt thanks. Everything up until today proved to be bollocks so parden my scepticism.

Far too much expectation on them imo. They’re sent here to gain some experience of being in a first team squad and then we expect them to save our season.

Do you really think that?

I don't recall one loan signing we've taken in recent years where the buzz was "this guy's going to make all the difference".

Most of the time we take them just to make up the numbers. They're very rarely ready for first team football a lot of the time.

Martin was asked why Brandon Cooper was sent on loan and replaced with Burns and he said it was because Cooper needed first team football which we couldn't offer him and Burns needed experience in and around a match day squad which City couldn't offer him.

Obviously in the end we couldn't offer Burns that either because he was woeful.

The reality is that if this Wright was any good, we probably wouldn't be getting him.. however he's likely to be quite technical and so maybe he'll suit us in some way.

That said, I can well imagine someone starting a "One Positive" thread the night our relegation is confirmed and saying "at least we're not obliged to buy Jacob Wright".

Jesus. You'd swear we'd just bought Messi and Ronaldo in their prime with the amount of people cumming in their pants. One has played America for a year and has been injured a bit. The other is an 18 year old with 4 appearances. And them not being in the dog eat dog of the Championship. I hope they work out obviously but don't let that detract from the fact we are still short of 3/4 . And the fact that Williams is still there. He could turn Maradona into Newhouse.

It's all very underwhelming

I've heard that he can put in a good corner, he will walk in to that role like Patino did. Just hope he has a good head on his shoulders

Not sure that's the case with vital to be fair

Can easily turn around and make some nonsense up if and when the lad signs.

If the deal was off the mainstream media would have picked this up by now.
