Does anyone on here enjoy the films after Sean and Roger?
Is Daniel Craig a good actor? I'm sure I saw him in films before Bond but can't say he was memorable.

I have no opinion just asking as I heard a lot of the Premier on the radio earlier.

Funny thing was just talking about this due the lack of televisual feastage, and a craving for a good old Bond film to be aired. I must say the Connery ones are my favourite. Roger played the role with a bit more tongue in cheek, still enjoyable.
One of our favourite Bond movies is OHMSS, with George Lazenby, think he p!seed a few people off and was binned after one showing. Craig is ok, and brings a modern twist to proceedings I suppose.Cant say I've seen him in anything else of note tbf.Again good but not as good as the early Connery ones, having said that, he may have done one too many. Just my take on things.👍

Craig as Bond in 'Casino Royale' is well worth watching. I believe he brought an edginess to the character that had been lacking. Skyfall was good too. Best Bond since the original, but best character development.

Craig got the bond film because of layer cake , he is a good actor but you don't need to be a good actor to play bond , was roger Moore a good actor ? I don't think so
Both his grandfathers are welsh, that makes him ok in my book 😊

Probably the second best Bond for me after Connery, but his films have been pretty uneven. Casino Royale and Skyfall are both great Bond films and did a fine job in bringing Bond into the modern post-Bourne films world, but Quantum of Solace and Spectre are meh at best. Hopefully his swansong in the role is a good one.

Craig was a good choice.

Idris Elba always used to be bandied about as the next Bond- another good choice IMO.

Yep, this is definitely the film that got the Bond film makers interested in Daniel Craig as the new James Bond!!

Craig was decent in my friends in the north, so he can act. I sat through skyfall happily enough, but Judi Dench and the villain blokey stole that one. Not seen his others.

Moore was beyond appalling as Bond. Everyone knew he was the Saint. Totally different, but he couldn’t change, and he was too soft and fat.

Connery was the only Bond of any merit. I wish he’d done OHMSS instead of ‘Big Fry’. And not done you only live twice nor diamonds are forever. Awful.

Moore's best Bond films are pretty decent, with The Spy Who Loved Me being the best for me and For Your Eyes Only is decent enough. Unfortunately he was also Bond in the worst films in the series, with A View To A Kill being the very worst, a film so bad even casting Christopher Walken as the bad guy couldn't save it.

If you get the chance, give Casino Royale a watch. I'm not sure how it would land having already seen Craig as Bond in Skyfall, but it really is a great reinvention of the character after the terrible run of films with Brosnan in the late 90's/early 2000's.
