He might have apologised, there is no excusing such poor behaviour when you are already in the public eye in which he is.
The lad doesn't help himself. It's an emotive subject and he often brings a lot of this grief upon himself.

Half my family are Irish and there is nothing I would like to see more than a united Ireland.
I’ve got a lot of time for him, love his stance. Pretty much every ground he’s ever gone to he has had absolute pelters, so he’s entitled to give it back. Love his stance on the royal family as well.

I’ve no affiliation with Ireland or Celtic, but they definitely have my sympathy over what the British done over there (and all over the world).

He doesn't offend me, I'm a firm believer in each to their own type of thing.

The lad does bring a lot of grief his own way with his behaviour when you consider how thick a lot of football supporters can be.

I wont get all political with my views about Ireland and the illegal occupation.

Oh and they’re all going to boycott going there because of it. I didn’t know it was where all the patriots bought their perfume from until this either 🤣🤣
I imagine a few of them discovered Boots during the protests/riots of a few months back...

Very well mannered thread this, I'm almost disappointed at how mature everyone is being. Somebody start a flag thread!

There are people in our estate with “Lest we forget” flags hanging limply out of bedroom windows like it’s a World Cup. It’s tragic really. Most of the people they’d claim to be remembering would probably be embarrassed.

Flag shaggers are a funny old lot.

Until the Daily Heil ran one of their frothing at the mouth "campaigns" about 10-15 years ago, this performative bollocks never used to happen at football matches. Remembrance was acknowledged, yes. But none of this pomp and ceremony and trumpets and ex-servicemen on the pitch and whatnot. It's way OTT.

The problem with these people is, the more you pander to them, it'll never be enough, they'll be back for more. It'll be something else soon. Never try to placate them. Fatal.

Except you just did. And define 'illegal'.
