As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, he has the hallmarks of mental illness. Certainly not funny in that respect. But being mentally unstable no matter how small, then for his own well being...just fck off is it.

If he doesn't do it tonight then the next week is going to be unprecedented in our history.

The party is likely going to vote to oust him and its going to be anyones guess as to what happens after that, picture the scenario of someone going to Buckingham Palace to form a new government while there's still an incumbent sitting in No 10

Thing is, in that scenario he remains PM until he resigns regardless of whether he’s no longer leader of the Tory Party. The Queen can’t/won’t appoint a new PM until the incumbent resigns.

You may have seen me saying this on twitter but when I spoke to Will Humphries at The Timex back in January about partygate and my grandson not having a birthday party certain things I said weren’t printed in the paper including me saying whatever happens Johnson will NEVER resign.

You may well be right. I’m not even convinced he’d leave when he loses the next confidence vote.
