When I look at some of the no hopers in the Wales squad, I think we'll do well to avoid complete embarrassment. Page is an idiot, he's supposed to be a professional manager in charge of a squad of professional football players, not some numpty leading his mates on a jolly.
There's no room for sentimentality in this situation, he should have picked the best and most effective squad available to him, loyalty doesn't come into it. The fact he overlooked Oli Cooper says it all.

Wales is a better team with Allen in it and he has played a massive part in Wales getting to a World Cup, if there is a chance he could be fit he couldn’t be left out. It’s not a Cooper/Allen dilemma - Copper should have gone too as there’s no justification for Jonny Williams being anywhere near an international squad.

England, with far more players to choose from than us, selected Kalvin Phillips who has only made 1 substitute appearance since September. He was picked because Southgate deemed him to be a better option than any other English player, despite the risk of him not being ready/match fit.

If a country with England's resources do that, there was no chance of leaving Allen at home, even if he wouldn't be ready until the final group game or knockouts if we make it.
