Well, not really sticking up for him here, but reading the article, they are still together, his wife withdrew her statement 3 years ago now, but they decided to carry on with the prosecution.

Three bloody years ago this happened, never heard of it before, but looking at reports, it looks like a peed up family argument, so I can understand anyone saying the establishment are out to get him Bloody hell, I would feel paranoid if the law came after me like that.

And that’s by no means excusing what he did, I mean who the hell kicks a woman in the head, I’m just saying from what I have read 4 or 5 bottles of wine, maybe they were all pissed out of their heads.

My only point was that’s it’s all forgiven and in the past by his family. He may well be a lunatic, but it does feel kind of weird, why the courts have to decided to pursue this prosecution. I really don’t know. His wife has forgiven him, she has redacted her statement. We will never know if her allegations are true, IMHO from what I have read, they were all pissed up.
