Kit release?

Oh the Fortnite youngsters will, he’s on there all the time.
I was taking the mick. Hence the dot dot dot at the end.

His brand is huge. Plus there was the Olympic thing and he did the superbowl not long ago as well.

Although funnily, I have met kids that love him but don’t know any of his music. He’s just an influencer type person to them.

If he is actually going to be involved, great. If it’s just him wearing a shirt, well he’s worn shirts of any number of clubs. He always does it when he’s on tour or DJing somewhere. He wears the local shirt.

My problem is with tagging Wrexham in the shirt launch.

Although having seen the other clip there’s part of me that genuinely wonders if they were put out in the wrong order. The clip of him talking and saying ‘this is the new shirt’ (I refuse to call it a jersey)! should have been first maybe. In which case the Wrexham one would have been a follow up tweet which would make a lot more sense.

If the cheques are the only difference around the neck and sleaves, I doubt with an already late release and minimal difference in guess most fans would bother buying it.

I do wonder if the use of the checks signals we’re going to go all Modric on the away and have some sort of checked Croatia-esque type number.

You could be on to something there.

My last top i bought was the 2013/14 season so sadly I'm not their market.

Joma and the commercial team must have spent weeks coming up with a redesign. Fair play, it's a transformation 😉🤐

lol.

To be honest, I hate it when we move away from as all white as possible in the home kit.

Particularly hate black shorts with our home kit. Should always be as unadorned all white as possible for me.

I'll wait patiently for the all white Hummel top when it finally arrives.. by which time I will need assistance putting it on 😉

Hold your breath for this rant.

Honestly, the self entitletment and arragance from many fans on social media, etc is insane. Is it a media circus with Wrexham? Yes. Has it benefited them. Yes! Why are we sitting here saying does it make us look small or is it pathetic to have 2 clubs from Wales trying to create some Hollywood media buzz.?

Take a step back people. This is a business. And the football world is changing. Top celeb names, doing a Wrexham is now becoming the norm. Many might not like it, but it's a model that has worked for them. It might not work for every club, but what's the alternative? Maybe we just go down the leagues and get Bonnie Tyler to be holding a shirt? Will that make you happy? Maybe doing a Delia Smith? Let's Be Havin Ya!

At the end of the day, if this means more eyes are on the club, and in the media, this only benefits the club and it's growth on and off the pitch.

Maybe next year there will be a documentary on Disney channel, about Welsh rivals? Who knows. And in a lot of people's eyes, who cares? But the club does.

There is an argument to what is the right and wrong way to rise up the leagues? Who knows? But this is a business. And if that means having a Modric, or a Snoop to push the brand to help the club across the board. Then bring it on.

On side note - I don't like Wrexham, never watched any documentary and could care less about them. But if my non football fan neighbour is talking to me about, have you watched that documentary about Wrexham then that tells you what you need to know.

‘Snoop, what you wanna be when you grow up’?

I wanna be a motherfucking Jack Bastard 😎

Those that know etc.

If Wrexham hadn’t mentioned us, I agree that referencing them would be a cheap attempt at gaining some reflected glory. But there’s been quite a bit of noise from there about the ‘derby’ with the Swans, so there’s a fair chance we’d have been positioned as an Ivan Drago to their Rocky Balboa in front of a huge US audience hoping to see us lose.

Using Snoop this way completely disrupts that narrative. Extremely smart move IMO.

PS I hope the speculation about the Modric shirt and Snoop investing are both right. Maybe the GK kit will be Snoop themed!

I don't suspect I am alone in not even considering Wrexham a derby, thats been done to appeal to said American audience.

I'm struggling to give too much of a toss either way but we need to remember we are a football club not a hollywood sideshow which is what Wrexham have become

We hate Wrexham and their Hollywood circus, embarrassing etc.

We also love the new association with them so it can make us money as well.

Swans fans eh 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Finally for me, I have no desire to see us turned into Wrexham MkII - the appointment of Modric is a good one and has clear footballing benefits but let's not look at them with desire wishing we were them because at no stage in the past few years have I "wished it was us"

It is what it is though now if its an occasional one off, beats Jack to a King any day of the week I guess 😂 (and I'm not getting into my rants on that crock of shit today!)

Twitter is a very odd place for all this stuff at the moment - currently being jumped on by the "its great" crews at the moment!
