• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

If Fisher is our backup keeper next season, any injury to Vigouroux would completely derail our season.

We need to cast our net wide to replace Fisher.
Anyone who thinks he's the answer has been taken in hook, line and sinker.

I'm fascinated by his routine of placing his water bottle in a straight line following the seam of the grass, in the same place, every home game.

Vig made the list of top 10 howlers for the Championship season
Meslier took up three of those spots by himself, quite how Leeds persisted with him and still got promoted is a mystery
Because they had a forward line to die for.

It was a humdinger, but one of only about 3 mistakes he made all season. He was brilliant for us, worth anywhere between 5-10 points for us. We are lucky to have him.

Vig has been a really good signing & extending his contract now would be the sensible thing.
I've no problem keeping Fisher as cover on the bench, he's OK for that, but If any club makes a decent offer for him then take it.
Agree contract extension for Vigouroux, but don't want Fisher as backup.

We need a backup that can pressure the No1 for his position, keep him on he toes and Fisher does not do this and think back to how poor our back up was last season.

Was that last one Woodman for Preston? If so, he was on there twice, nearly as bad as Meslier.

Fitting that possibly the worst one on there was from officially the worst team in the division.

I was in the South stand for Vig's error and it was not pretty. Thankfully didn't cost us any points in the end and unlikely we'll see a repeat now we've moved on from Pound Shop Pep's and their brand of football.

I like the ambition, but given the holes elsewhere in the squad, I just want a decent keeper on the bench in case anything happens to Vig. I don't think we're in the financial position to afford the luxury of a keeper as good as him (not to mention a keeper that good probably won't be happy to be sitting on the bench most games).

Someone mentioned Fabianski in the transfer thread. As long as he's still decent at 40 and willing to both accept a reasonable wage and be the backup, I'd have no problem with that. Can't see it happening though.

If Fabianski came I doubt he would be the backup, he still better than Vigouroux ever will be
