Calm doon lads, put a Carry On film on or summin đź‘Ť

Carry on talking bollocks, starring the OP?

He still hasn’t worked out his hero left him behind and there was never an option for him to guide us to mid table again. Then the cowardly little boy ran off crying when Duff won a few games to read his back catalogue of Jackie magazines (collecting since 1973). Now he’s back, wanking off in public again, the boring twat.

Small man syndrome strikes again!!

The football we played in the second half of last season would have seen us comfortably in the top six of the division this year.

Fair play to Martin he even started to make Cabango look like a footballer, you have to give credit to Russ for getting some very ordinary players to play some fantastic football last year.

Sad to see where we are at the moment …directionless without any discernible style of play.

Absolute nonsense. Martin was consistently bailed out by Piroe et al scoring from nothing. You can see with Southampton his football works only if you've got players who are above average and score the half chances that they produce.

This season under Martin we would be no better off than we are now bar a few points. We don't have the quality to play anywhere near that level.

If Martin was that good a Championship manager then we would have got play offs last season, we wouldn't have frozen our squad in January and we would have given him a new contract instead of shipping off to Southampton for a few quid

His beloved Martin failed to get us into top six when he was here, which is why he’s no longer here. You can file Copa under dumbo.

Tommy, you are one thick you know what.

It wasn’t about top six it was about progression, yes your namesake took us to a higher league position and a play off final but talk to the vast majority of fans who actually attend matches and they’ll tell you they were more than happy watching us under Martin.

The fact that so many players have gone backwards since he left is testament to the job he did while he was here.

You’ll never admit it but some of the football we played last year was well above what we could have expected from a very limited bunch of players, if Piroe had not gone missing for the first half of the season we would probably have made the playoffs.

Well, I for one wasn't . I found it mind numbingly boring under Martin. The majority of fans I know said the same. Players have gone yes, but that's down to better prospects and wages elsewhere, and a likely downward spiral under the current owners

There were times during the first half of the season that the football was admittedly uninspiring, but, many fans could see what was trying to be achieved.
Some of the football in the second half of the season was superb, the title of this thread is ..Let’s be honest, if you can’t admit that we played some superb football then this thread is lost on you.

If you did a straw poll now I think most fans would have RM back in a heartbeat, not going to happen he’ll go on to bigger and better things than us.

Potential here for a PS Sunday classic.

If someone can type something to get Jack123 interested, then we'd be well on the way...

Did we get a receipt for Russy's sh*te football?

That should cover all bases.

Seriously though Copa, did Russ’ tactics not bore the tits off you? Telling your defenders to pass between each other and take no risk under ANY circumstance isn’t exactly rocket science. Going forward was an afterthought. I don’t think I’ve ever been so bored watching The Swans and I’ve seen some dross. Russ this year without the Piroe outlet would likely see us around the same position.

Swans legend, scored in the Euro final, innit.

Merry Christmas, Copa.

Feliz Natal to you as well, learned that while sipping an Americano with the King and Ronnie.
