• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

O Brien would be silly to think he could get Premier League wages in the Championship, they’d be halved imo.

O'Brien is a very good championship level player who struck it lucky with his present contract with the scabs, he'll still be too rich for us though, possibly one of the relegated sides coming back down would be interested.

A vision and communicate that. Big investment in non PSR things like the academy for a start?
I agree and whilst not sure but doing that would not only help the academy but would it not then give a bigger fig off the losses not sure?
but how do other clubs get around it , our pals up the road for instance i wonder?
If the owners have real ambition they are going to have to come up with ideas to bring the supporters back reduce the losses to be able to try and attract players like O Brian to give the first team a chance of promotion

Strange comment
Sorry I came across wrongly.
What I was trying to say was I would expect Cardiff to be looking to sign a high earning Premier league marquee signing, for effect and not consider the financial consequences.Where as we wouldn't do that

Not really, O'brien clearly makes an impact on games. if we take Grimes wages (who he replaced) and Pederson wages ( a non entity) they'd probably cover O'briens and its not effected the squad numbers in anyway really.

The fee forest would want maybe more of a stumbling block.
Going into next season with a midfield of Franco, O'brien and Widdel, would be an exciting prospect. I'd try for Delcroix permanent too as he's done well imo.

The club has been losing £15-20m a year for the last few years. It can't afford O'Brien.

Lad has done more in the 3 months he's been with us than the other fella did in the three hundred plus appearances he made.
Thank God the spell Grimes cast over a lot of the fan base is starting to wear off. A master illusionist indeed

LOB and Sheehan have replaced the Grimes LW malaise thankfully..

I'm convinced we would be in the bottom three now if that circus of gaffer/skip wasn't replaced
