Liam Walsh signed on a free.

he admits it was his discussions with Cooper that made a particular mark as he decided his future.

“It’s been a long summer for me, especially after the way last season went. But everything the gaffer said to me (about Swansea) was exactly what I wanted in a club, and I cannot wait to play in front of the fans at the stadium,” he said.

“I also knew a few of the lads here and they had nothing but good things to say, but I spoke with the gaffer more than any other managers I had spoken to at other clubs.

“The belief he was putting in me, and the fact he has known me from a young age helped me a lot. He knows the type of player I am.

If he could do that again he wouldn't be coming to us on a free.

We have had other players join us under similar circumstances who have gone on to shine. Things didnt work out for him at Bristol hopefully if he can remain injury free we may see more of this

Our Monny is a tad subdued by this close season, he was hopeful for brighter lights after last season, gonna take a a good few brighter dawns to cheer up :D

Hell of a passing range on him

The Swans confirmed the first of their two expected signings yesterday with the capture from Bristol City of Liam Walsh who signed on after a two month pursuit that started before the Swans league status for this season was confirmed. That is enough to tell you that we have made a good capture in Walsh...

I am sure this will please all the Cooper "fans"....they will be here maoning about Cooper hoof ball havign watched that clip....no 300 passes before we score

Finally a fucking footballer, looks v v good. Will be wasted by blooper mins

Direct grimes replacement?

His passing range reminds me of Ferrie Bodde, not just floated passes but plenty of penetrating balls played on the deck too.
One other thing that the video shows me is that the Coventry strikers couldn't finish their dinner :D

Good player. I also hope Jan is staying and I enjoyed watching Smith last season. Taking off Matt for the last half hour in more games because we are 2 goals to the good and can afford to rest him will be a bonus.
