• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Does he actually know what he is doing?

Needs at least a couple of months yet

Worrying though. Looking clueless

I think what this proves is that the likes of Tjoe-A-On, Pederson and I hate to say Fulton aren’t good enough.
Abulai I can cut some slack with as he’s predominantly a midfielder and not a winger.

Agreed on all those points.

What concerns me is the manager doesn't seem to see this.

Half the championship don't know what they're doing.. footballers in this division are pretty crap and they're earning millions.. you saw what 2nd division Koln did to us in the friendly.. it was like Cabango and Darling never played the game

I'm struggling with this defence of Abdulai. He was moving to different positions all night. Yet his passing/vision etc all absolutely dire. There are plenty others equally awful, but I've been watching him closely....this kid just doesn't cut it.

But Jasper's boys are good enough to step up mun, keep up, snigger

Potter - buggered off first opportunity he got

Cooper - preferred to put himself out of work rather than stay here, and spent his last 6 months here with his agent desperately sales pitching him to other clubs

Martin - buggered off first opportunity he got

Duff - was a disaster, but he could justifiably point at his work at Cheltenham and Barnsley before coming here as mitigation

We can criticise Williams all we like, but sooner or later the penny has to drop that we're a bit of a amateurish club that up and coming coaches use for a bit of CV polishing but who then leave to join more serious outfits.

That's where we are. The problems have never really been the coaches - they're a symptom, but not the disease itself

Ive said on other thread that i think criticism of perderson is alittle harsh. Nervous face next to him and playing on the right side lost us the balance in the first half. Tjoe i dont mind, gets his head up and likes to play forward, got isolated for too often 1st half a against strong and pacy winger.

Not sure any championship club has breeded as many premier league managers as us over the last 15 years, 3 above plus rodgers and martinez so clearly the club has done something right in the past 🤷‍♂️

Said before, they appoint the right people but unfortunately don't give them the right tools to get the job finished.

Money does not grow on trees, we have been punching well above our weight for many years and now our realistic position is being found again. Do we really think any new investors will plough in millions to get us promoted? Time to stop living in the past.

These owners are paying them millions mun, this myth that they're not backing them is mental, they're putting in millions every year just to stay solvent

The owners didn't force Williams to pick that side last night, make the subs he did or play the way we did.

Performances like that are the fault of one person and one person only.
