Man Utd

United desperate to avoid relegation.
Citeh desperate full stop.
What's not to love ?

I remember stopping in Newtown MacDonalds on my way back from Manure one time and a minibus pulled in, full of Manure fans on their way home to Swansea, twats, fuck’em.

I’m not surprised although whenever I’ve gone to see us in the NW or Midlands on the train it fills up at Cardiff with plastic Welsh Mancs 🤮. There are normally very few getting on at Swansea.

Is that real? Hilarious if it is. They weren’t in the best place already, but it seems like it’s gone even more to sh*t since Jim Ratcliffe took the reins. Which I love 🤣
I assume it to be true. He certainly hasn’t delivered in a Man Utd shirt,

Sadly, I think it's made up. By all accounts, United just paid his release clause. Which is not looking like a good decision.

I read somewhere earlier today a comment that was along the lines of: Manchester United could easily go down, because unlike other crap teams like Everton or Leicester, they will not be allowed to just put 11 men behind the ball and scrap to win games, they are expected to play exciting attacking football but with a crap team. Interesting take, I thought.

Honestly...if he takes those players down, he would be the crappiest manager in all history of football and that includes Kevin Cullis. If I was his boss I'd call him in and tell him not to dare think that 'saving us from relegation' is acceptable performance, to sort his shit out, and start managing the resources he has rather than trying to play to 'his philosophy' with the 'wrong' players. Oh and it should be sackable to pick Erikson and Casimero, ever, never mind together in the midfield.

It would be very funny mind. Very.

He's getting a lot of stick from Man Utd fans for insisting on playing the same way he did at Sporting despite that not particularly suiting the players he's got at Utd.

That is so true.

Man Utd getting relegated would be up there with Leicester winning the league for me.

Understandably managers who have been successful playing a certain way are reluctant to change from that blueprint. If you’re running a club looking to appoint a manager it would be sensible to make the appointment by looking at whether his style would fit the squad of your club. This seems to be beyond the thinking of so many clubs.

Ignoring the merits or otherwise of any of the individuals, it just astounds me that we could appoint Cooper, Martin, Duff and Williams in succession. It beggars belief. Absolutely no business on Earth could get away with the absence of any coherent Board level thinking and lack of strategic direction of that magnitude.

I think their biggest problem at the minute is that t hey haven't really got an idea of what style they want. They've chopped and changed so much since Fergie retired and let different managers spend hundreds of millions on players who don't suit the next manager that they've tied themselves in knots.

They need a huge clearout, but it's hard to see many of their players being all that attractive to the kinds of clubs that will give them anything like what they paid.

And rightly so.

It's pure arrogance to do what he's doing i.e. here's my 3-4-3, if you don't like it, tough shit, we're just going to keep doing it. It's mental. They don't even have wingbacks, for a start.

The mess there is not all his fault of course - but he's really not helping himself at all. If he gets thumped in the next two games at Anfield and the Emirates, if things don't improve by March I think he could easily get the sack.
