We’re really happy here and I hope we're here for a long time, and I mean that. The club have spoken about potentially extending our stay and all that stuff so we'll see how that goes. We're more than open to that. We would like that.

Deserved? He’s probably on peanuts, I guess the club want to up his release fee incase clubs come sniffing.

Ergh, gets on my nerves. First offer from a bigger/richer club flashing the cash and he'll be off quicker than you can say 'Swansea till I die'.

The problem is these days, I suppose, with social media etc...is if a manager/player doesn't put out these faux shows of loyalty, people will start saying that they're off.

I'm glad that most/a lot of people these days see through this crap though...including kissing the badge.

Remember Potter signing YJB to the crowd then he was off before we knew it.

To be fair to Potter, he had asked the club not to sell both James and McBurnie in the same window as it would be too much to replace both of them on a limited budget.

I don't begrudge him moving on to Brighton at all.

Aye, and Martinez only left because we didn't sign Gomez.

Potter knew the financial situation when he took the job in the first place. He was off no matter what when a Premier League club came calling, as will Martin in all likelihood.

We shouldn’t be precious about it. No manager or player is going to say I’ll be off if a bigger club or one with more potential calls. If we lose the next 5 games we’ll want him sacked.

Live with it.

Hang on, I thought that we all wanted to get rid of him?

Isn't it correct that other teams play predictable football that we would pass it around (very slowly) and then give it away to the other team who would then hit us on the break? Which was basically manager said in (Bristol's manager) Nigel Pearson's press conference, even though that they are playing at home.

Exactly, and that can't be said too often. When it suits us, we're happy for managers to be sacked, and their kids to be moved out of schools, and their families to be re-located, but we throw our toys out of the pram when they jump before they are pushed.

Too many of us are hypocrites. I have a secret hope that every UK-born Premier manager will have first been at Swansea. Never going to happen, of course.

I think the last Martin out thread was three weeks ago. if we lose today i'm sure there'll be people saying we should get rid.
