• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Another ex MK Dons player coming in in a season long loan, no option to buy as per Stuart James in the Athletic. He’s a wing back, predominantly lwb

Great signing… a lot of other clubs were interested including Norwich and Celtic.

If (a big IF) we can keep Downes, Piroe and Obafemi then this is shaping up to be an exciting season ahead.

Judging by these additions in defence RM clearly doesn't think the Cabango - Naughton - Manning combo is good enough for his football ideology at this level. Surely Cooper and Bennett must be looking at the door now

Bennett won’t be getting near the team again - if we could get rid of his £28k a week it would make us far more financially viable moving forward.

I think Ben's place is far from secure, and as for Ogbene...

They are, but whether someone is on the other side of the door is a different question altogether. Reading won't be able to take over the Bennett contract and I don't see him moving for a pay cut.

A wingback who can operate on both sides - a very important signing and was probably our number one priority barring any key outgoings from the top end of the pitch.

At least it means that if we fail to bring in another wingback then we have Manning and Ogbeta who can play on the left and Sorinola who can play on the right.

If the stories of a 10-12k per week salary cap in the squad is accurate then yeah we desperately need to get Bennett out of the door, he is not involved and is eating up the wages of two to three players.
