• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I watched Yates' highlights reel when he signed and was totally underwhelmed. His goals for Blackpool were a mixture of penalties and scruffy tap-ins. I don't rate Cullen or Vip highly, but they're better than Yates, IMHO.
I think we agree they're probably all not good enough. Funny enough I seem to remember seeing that Yates vid too now you've reminded me, but at least he was actually putting it in the net, but Piroe he wasn't.

It's seriously unrealistic to think every transfer will work out though, isn't it?

Plus, they are all judged retrospectively. I don't remember many complaints when Yates was brought in. Successful at Blackpool, goal poacher, seemed right up our street. Personally I don't believe Vip or Cullen are much, if any, better than him at finishing chances.
Yes, I agree not everyone will work out. I don’t pay much attention to what fans think when someone is signed. The only judgement that matters is those in the club, and I think they’ve been getting more wrong than they should have lately.

It’s not all bad though. Franco’s been a revelation. He’s their one success to strengthen us in the last couple of years. Vigeroux is ok as well. Not brilliant but the least of our problems. Eom slowly growing into it, so may end up being a find. The rest over the last couple of years have been underwhelming.
