Some of the dullest comments I’ve ever read , some of you should read them back, your desire to be proven right about Martin and your reluctance to acknowledge that we have moved forward are making you look pretty stupid.

Can’t think of any other group of fans who would be debating whether or not the manager should still be at their club after the finish we had.

I’ve said it a millions times before and I’ll no doubt say it a millions times again. Posters paint themselves into corners with their opinions over players and managers, and they will never change their minds because they think it will make them less ‘knowledgeable’. And these types of forums are the worst for it.

What is the point of having a mind if you never change it? Someone clever said that I’m sure.

How have we moved forward? The previous 2 campaigns we were in the play offs. Now we are a mid table side with a team that should have strolled into the top 6. Not gonna argue cos all about opinions but they are the facts.

We certainly have moved forward, a number of players have improved, more points than last season, higher league position than last and our style of football nearer to where we once were.
And strolling into the top six isn’t a fact it’s an opinion 👍

A number of players have improved now they're being played in the right position. Funny that.

Who knew Latibeaudiere wasn't a wingback? Everyone except Martin. Who knew Ntcham would be more effective in the middle instead of out wide? Everyone except Martin. Who knew that we always look more solid with four at the back instead of leaking goals every game with a three? Everyone except Martin.

Congratulations for finally doing the obvious Russy. You absolute legend.

With respect, I'd read it that you thought we'd improved since Russ arrived....we clearly havnt.
And as a season is 38 games..we were great first 9 and last 9....what's your opinion on the run of 20 in between? That's more than half a season of literally no improvement....we didn't have to in that period. Just a couple more wins in there and wed have made the play offs.
Think you'll find that's a fact.

Some would say that in that 20 game period we went backwards at an alarming rate of knots...

Improvement based on what? Cooper’s season when we had a keeper earning more than both of ours combined now, a striker on £80k per week getting us out of jail time and time again? Players like Rhian Brewster, Marc Guehi, Connor Gallagher on loan? We now shop in a different market, what is classed a success now is different. Or atleast it should be to anyone not living in a dreamworld.

Complete reset in how the club goes about its business since the parachute payments ran out.

Let’s just call it a draw is it?

Regardless of where we now shop, who plays in what position, who earns what....the squad we have ,based on the start and finish of the season should have and were clearly good enough to get top 6. Struggling now to see how people arnt seeing that. The fact that Russ totally fckd up 20 odd games is being overlooked and disregarded.

The league season is 46 games, we finished where we should have really

The question is I suppose, would this squad have done better with a different manager. That’s where opinion comes in. My view is a firm yes but other views are equally as valid.

No worries buddy. All bout opinions. Have great summer. We go again in couple o months.

I think the standard of the Championship this season has been the weakest for many years. We will need to strengthen and replace key players when they leave. Potentially Southampton Leicester possibly Leeds Ipswich and Plymouth will raise the standards next term

If he comes out of these talks with no new deal then he’s off imo, seems like more and more are talking about the Leicester job, which I would be surprised at as surely they would want instant success to go up and I’m not sure Martin would do that for them in one season.

If they believe the hype well enough that might just be what they'd expect from him.

The irony is he might finally have made some realisations here and go on to be a success there or somewhere else. It would just mean that we've wasted two years of potential progression for ourselves whilst Russy perfected his "process".
