• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

From what I gather, watching his WBA presser.(about 8.30 minutes) VM suggested that the club and are looking at profiles for his back room staff which might suggests hes not bringing in anyone from his old club, unless I've read the situation incorrectly, it's been a long day, anyone else get that vibe.🤷‍♂️

He kept it very open to be fair.
He did mention WPs.

Put it like this, if it is true and they don't arrive then serious questions will need to be asked.
That’s what happens when you got the commercial guy thrown into a massive role not really fair on him either.

Let’s be honest me and you could manage the team if there’s any truth in this….mad, mad, mad appointment.

Just catching up on all this...

Am I right in saying we've appointed the manager without any idea as to whether his current assistants will be able to get work permits and if they can't we have no Uk based experienced coaching staff ready to step in?

If true, we're setting Matos up to fail and it looks incredibly amateurish from the owners/board.

A manager with 12 games of experience through his career before this, too. Feel for the bloke, as I can't see this being anything other than a car crash, and not sure it's really his fault

The fact they are not already in place, does show signs of concern but as somebody who has had to go through the visa process before it can be slow. Matos probably took preference and the others might not get fast tracked so I hope things can get sorted and it is just a case of there being a slight delay.

Exactly, if it was someone with 300 games managing behind them it's a different matter.

Not really one to overreact (usually lol) but this seems a more and more bizarre decision the more I read.
