• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

A glance at Twitter last night was embarrassing how some of ours still fawn over him despite his complete failure here and with the Saints. As a sometimes poster on here says “it’s a cult”.
His stint at MK Franchise didn't set the world on fire, either.

Some will point to last season promotion with one of the best squads and biggest budgets as his finest work.

Let's be honest he almost blew that.

Agree on all points.

Russell Martin giving a football masterclass at the moment on MNF 😳
I saw it last night. Had to laugh. He was banging on about style of play and all that crap. Just reminded me of that long win less run while he was with us. Last time I saw his Duran Duran Hair was when I was at the game when Southampton was at ours early last year. And he went over and Swansea fans was clapping him. His ego hasn't changed. Seems his teeth has got whitter though 😂😂😂

Saw the presser... It said to me that he doesn't want it full time because he knows he won't be backed by the owners.... His comments, singing off the same sheet are very telling.

I like the way AS sensibly refuses to answer stupid questions by saying "we'll just have to wait and see"

Interviewing next week, supposedly 4 being interviewed including Sheehan. One being a very keen Frenchman that I have previously mentioned.

Sheehan is and will raise his concerns about squad strengthening I have heard.

Assuming we can't pry on who else we have lined up? Actually quite impressive that we're nearly a month in, and have basically had no names rumoured

The cynics will tell you that's because the other 3 don't exist and they're just going to appoint Sheehan.

I'm not quite that cynical, at least not about this.

Pretty much a nailed-on certainty that Sheehan will be in charge for the rest of the season; hopefully, someone is being lined up to take charge well before the players report back for pre-season.

Not so sure about that myself. Sheehan has been fairly adamant that him being in charge as caretaker till the end of the season is a non-starter and it needs to be a permanent manager from the international break on. As he's been speaking to Montague I doubt he's saying that publicly without having some idea of what the club plans to do.

I thought from what that guy said to people in the press box recently (Guede or whatever his name is) was that Sheehan was the plan until end of the season unless things go royally south. Obviously from that BBC article it looks like he expects a new manager in soon.
