And of course vice-chair and Associate Director...

Dear Phil

As our members will be aware, the Trust recently completed its annual election process and previously announced HERE the appointment of five new Trust Board members to join our existing members from the previous season. Yesterday, the new board convened for the first time to discuss priorities for the upcoming year and to nominate and vote on our new Trust officers. We are now pleased to unveil our new Trust officers for the 2021/22 season.

• Chair – Dave Dalton
• Vice Chair – Ceri Stone
• Supporter Director – Terry Sinnett
• Associate Director – Sian Davies

Over the coming days representation of board members on the appropriate sub-groups will be confirmed and updated on our website HERE alongside any new or re-appointed co-opted or affiliated officers.

We would once again like to express our gratitude to departing board members and officers Andy Godden (Chair), Stuart McDonald (Supporter Director/Treasurer) and Cath Dyer (Associate Director) for their work with the Trust, and for their support to the board. We thank them all for the considerable efforts they have made in representing the fans and looking after the interests of the Trust during their time on the board.
As those doors close others open, and to see five new board members walk into our first meeting of the season last night was a positive sign that there are members willing to step up and help ensure the valuable work of the Trust continues.

We are continuing to work with the club on a number of supporter-based projects and initiatives (which we will report to our members on in the coming weeks), but we are mindful of the ongoing situation to address the issues arising from the 2016 sale of our club.
Please be assured that as soon as we are able to provide an update to our members we will. Despite the transition from previous board to new over the last few days, the work of our legal sub-group continues unhindered.

And as a reminder

I would never be against anyone quitting the board for personal reasons because their personal lives are far more important but in my opinion it’s a very disappointing time for Godden and McDonald to step down especially as the legal action is nearing an end.

This would be where I completely disagree with you. Having been front and centre of the legal case for 3-4 years it is mentally draining and tiring to have many long email chains on subjects you are far from an expert on and endless paperwork where you can take guidance from the legal experts but still have to understand to a level where you could present a position to a member or the remainder of the board.

When I stood down in 2020 it was with two members of the legal sub group that would have left Andy pretty much on his own with Lisa as an adviser/affiliate and Rupert who worked largely abroad and therefore probably had a minimal input as a result. Stuart was not involved directly in discussions due to his responsibilities as a company director but his work was probably doubly draining as he had to maintain a balance.

Factor in Stuart has done 6-7 years in that role, Andy a similar time on the board and you cannot underestimate what the legal case would have taken out of them.

Looking at the new board - or at least those who have taken the officer positions - it will be interesting to see how this unfolds, I don't know Ceri as he came onto the board after I left but clearly I have worked with Terry, Dave and Sian with very mixed levels of success

No mun there’s nothing to disagree with I’m not having a go I completely understand and thank them for everything. I’m just personally disappointed they won’t be seeing it through though I assume they’ll be around as advisors,at least I bloody hope they will.

It’s a lot of experience to lose in one hit, though I totally understand why they need to stand aside.

I don’t know any of the new leaders personally but if I look at the Director and Supporter Director positions I really worry whether things will be challenged to the level required. From what I’ve seen of Terry, he is a lovely guy and a bit of a character but always seems to be very defensive of those in charge. It could be that he different in private but in the interactions I’ve had with him that has been the case.

Absolutely perfectly said. 👌🏻

Massive thank you to all who have worked so hard since the Trust's foundation on our behalf.
Best wishes and thanks to those who will carry on the hard work from here on.

As long as the Ceredigion Jacks have seen the light when it comes to HJ.

Sorry to be blunt but weren’t some of these obstructive to the legal action and lickspittles of the regime? I apologise if not.

Sorry, didn’t mean to quote that post Longlost.

Well the new SD says on Twitter that the plans are to push on with the legal action.

I have worked closely with Dave on the supporters working group and feel that he is a good choice to take the Trust forward 😀

Why haven't you chucked you hat in the ring, you got plenty of time and plenty to say, nothing legible of course, but every organisation needs a thickie
