Nottingham Forest are not pursuing a move for Joel Piroe at this time after Steve Cooper was linked with the Swans forward following the Reds’ promotion to the Premier League. Piroe enjoyed a sensational first season in Wales netting 24 goals in all competitions and the Swans have made it clear that...

I love Piroe, but I’d be shocked if he was good enough to make an impact in premier league yet.

Swans really dropped a b*llock again in making it clear we wanted him sold.

Any assets we have will be sold on the last day of the window for peanuts and we'll be left in a mess, we've got form for it.

Yep, looks like we'll be getting much less than was hoped, club played its cards far to early, Piroe hasn't helped in saying he's not interested in signing a new contract either, which as brought about "rumours" of him not liking Martin.
Balls up all round by looks of it.

Think we'd settle for 4-5m just to get Russy's transfer targets. Originally I though around £8m.

He's more than ready for the PL. Just look at those that have stolen a living there
Our powder puff midfield flogged him at least 6 or 7 goals
He's too good for us.

As always, if anyone doesn't want to stay they can faaahk off
I'd rather a player of lesser quality busting a gut than some primmadonna.

He'll be suddenly interested in signing a new contract if he can't get a better one. I can't believe he won't be elsewhere come August though.

He never said he wasn’t though, the club did. They f*cked it yet again.

I thought they were quoting him when they said, he wasn't interested in a new contract, if that's not true its shocking behaviour from the club.

I'd be amazed if he signed a new one. Both in terms of him tying himself down and us offering the sort of cash that would do it.

Seemed obvious from the outside that it was the club initiating the rumours so it could fill the hole and do a bit of trading. Just worry what the Plan B is now if that doesn't happen.

Martin made it public, said at the time, why he did that for I'll never know. I think Lisa said on here, and she was right, the club couldn't be making it obvious we want to sell him, and it just takes all of our bargaining position away.

Many pundits and I doubted Bamford's ability in the Premier League. Piroe is a worth shot.

Could see him at A club like Sheffield who are probably wondering about Rhian Brewster and Olie Macburnie, still only 22 and 26, who may attract transfer fees from other suitors despite recent form and injuries.

We signed McBurnie for 250k from Bradford.

Disturbing silence on the transfer front

Until players go we won’t do anything, unless I’ve missed it the owners haven’t even signed off Colin Calderwood yet?

Downes and Piroe deals need to get done early, I reckon the formers will be.
