Those four wins earned him big credit, but there’s still a few that make him invincible on the back of them.Every time I see a tweet with a picture of Russell Martin I wonder if I slept through his two years at the club where his football was largely in line with that of Luke Williams but protected by four wins over Cardiff and some choice alliances.
The irony is for some if we undertook the exact same January other than winning 3-0 at Cardiff they would be singing his name right nowThose four wins earned him big credit, but there’s still a few that make him invincible on the back of them.
Nothing ironic about winning seven, drawing two and losing one of the last ten games…unless of course you subscribe to the belief that they were meaningless fixtures at the tail end of the season. The irony is for some if we undertook the exact same January other than winning 3-0 at Cardiff they would be singing his name right now
Yesterday's display should have finished off any doubt on Williams - a side that played with no passion or shape and there was zero attempt to change it at any stage. Those in the West would know better but I am not certain that Williams actually looked as if he cared.
His time is up here - I cannot see him being in charge when we play our next game
How about the twenty odd games with out winning. I thoroughly enjoyed that period.Nothing ironic about winning seven, drawing two and losing one of the last ten games…unless of course you subscribe to the belief that they were meaningless fixtures at the tail end of the season.
A bit like Grimes I just don’t get the bitterness.
As an aside, did anyone in his post match ask the coward the reason for him going straight down the tunnel at the final whistle, something you rarely see a manager do these days...The irony is for some if we undertook the exact same January other than winning 3-0 at Cardiff they would be singing his name right now

Our local media are too concerned with licking Luke and Andy's ring to even consider aiming criticism at either of them.As an aside, did anyone in his post match ask the coward the reason for him going straight down the tunnel at the final whistle, something you rarely see a manager do these days...
Apparently he was asked about it and this was his response. As an aside, did anyone in his post match ask the coward the reason for him going straight down the tunnel at the final whistle, something you rarely see a manager do these days...

"I am in a world of pain, a whole world of pain. So I needed a few moments to myself because I have to try to compose myself to speak to the players and to speak to you in the correct way. I needed a few moments."

People criticise Rooney and I know he’s got a lot of wonga, but at least he knew he couldn’t do anymore at Plymouth and left and didn’t take the money either.I know
Just grow a set and either change things around or admit you're useless and resign.
Williams won't go unless he is pushed.People criticise Rooney and I know he’s got a lot of wonga, but at least he knew he couldn’t do anymore at Plymouth and left and didn’t take the money either.
Yeah it’s pretty obvious at this point that’s what he’s waiting for and the players feel it to, no wonder they can’t give it all on the pitch with the main man in charge of them has given up.Williams won't go unless he is pushed.
