Didn't you try Curry's ?
Everytime I've been in there to buy something its either not in stock or they'll order it in for you. Their stockroom must be piled high with fvcking fresh air.😉

There's a well known character posting on here who's got a gap between his ears full of fresh air.

Went into Argos, tapped into the computer, nowt, maybe I just fekd up.
Anyway when I got home I found on next to the tv, forgot I had one, every cloud.😂

I've got loads of them and I've never bought one in my life. Every new phone or tablet comes with one so they've just accumulated over the years and live in a box in our spare bedroom. Recently, I've replaced some of our twin gang 13 Amp sockets with ones that have 2 USB sockets built in so don't even need a separate charger in some of our rooms now. Great in the kitchen as there's so many appliances that it was difficult to find a socket not in use!

I've always found Tom Whitehouse in the market to have most of the odd electrical bits I need and reasonably priced too.

Greggs is still a joke.
I went into Swansea earlier today and made a mistake I made 7 years ago in Newcastle, I bought a corned beef past .....more potato than corned beef and £1.70
It's a f*****g joke especially in this day and age when money is tight.

P.S. why are there so many empty reatil outlets in the city?
Kingsway looks terrible😔

The mistake you made Dicky was not going for a Steak Bake and a coffee. Before 11 the bacon and sausage bap and coffee option is decent.

I believe they are no longer trading. Well I think so, could be wrong, haven't been in there for a while, that's what I've heard🤷‍♂️

I think all new builds now come the USB wall sockets. You can never have enough.
Next time I need one, I'll give you a shout😉👍

Had a pie from Swansea market recently. The guy said he had exclusivity for some company in Port Talbot. It was gorgeous.
Also had a couple of pies fro Aldi earlier this week from their specialty range - also gorgeous.
Don't go to Greggs anymore as their corned beef pasties have gone from a pound to £1.70 in less than a couple of years (unless I'm in Barry where they have a discount shop.)

Tesco used to make the best homemade pies, but they stopped doing them years ago.. I do like a balti pie, especially one's you can get up north, and a Cornish pasty in Cornwall, but haven't been in either area for some time.. the last pies I ate were from Jenkins and Gregg's, and they were poor pies and very small and filling not great, Jenkins pasties beats Gregg's all day long

The pies served in a cafe in Gorseinon way back in the day , steamed , the pastry was a bit soggy but the content was bursting through the sides , seem to remember an Italian family ran the place .

Nothing has compared to the taste of that first humble pie , even now I still challenge what I buy today against that benchmark , my first pie eating experince , no contest .

Have read about a small shop/producer in Taibach , might give them a try next .

Recommended it was, by a mate. Try the old fray bentos Tim, they’re superb. Usually always avoided I found myself throwing one in my basket on my next visit to the supermarket.

One evening, craving stodge, I wacked it in the oven and retired to the sofa with a glass of wine. 30 mins or so went by and I shuffled off to the kitchen to check on the evenings main event.

Well I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened the oven. I never thought the pastry top would rise to the point it resembled an oversized beret and the filling looked and tasted like a aged cow pat.

It’s a no from me

2nd hand? Are they returns? Regurgitated? 😉
Best pies were Lewis’s from the bakery in the Sandfields many years ago. 👍

I think I read somewhere that the stall had reopened under a different name but sold similar stuff, not certain though.
