Can't say I haven't seen it coming, some insane stats showing the difference in workloads at the age of just 21.

Bellingham 18500 minutes
Beckham 4000 minutes
Frank Lampard 7000 minutes

Over 50% of all players polled by Fifpro said they were playing while carrying an injury.

Combined with distances the average player covers (and as a result the amount of energy they expend and the stress they put their body under) being well over double what it was in the 80s and 90s then yeah.

Those running Fifa and Uefa need to be brought in to line. These governing bodies absolutely stink of corruption and their own self importance.

As a fan I've never felt so distant to the game I fell in love with as a child.

All well & good, but clubs can hardly complain about players being overworked when 3 days after the season ended last week, Newcastle played Tottenham in Australia.

Roma also played AC Milan in a friendly in Melbourne today.

Players of those clubs can only have their own clubs to blame, if the players in those sides have any feelings resembling being overworked then the clubs shouldn't be playing those friendlies now (including with players that will go onto play in the Euros this summer).

But they’ll still fly all over the world playing nonsense tournaments and friendlies. Here’s an idea, knock them on the head first before crying about their incredibly well paid jobs.

Except that its the players complaining not the club :)
