I know it's a consequence of the sad state we're in, but it all seems a bit self defeating. Let's bring on an exciting new talent, so we can sell him to a Premier League club, and bring in a few million so we can.....buy and bring on an exciting new talent, so we can sell him to a Premier League club and bring in a few million, so we can blah, blah, blah.
Where's the feckin AMBITION? how are we ever going to get promoted again if we keep selling our best players to survive? Why are the feckin useless Yank owners hanging around here if they don't want the club to grow, succeed, reach the heights and eventually bring them in a massive payday?
In fairness this time round, the club have said they are open to talks with the player, the player's agent has knocked us back.
If we had made a derisory offer, no offer or were selling against the player's will, then I can understand blaming the club.
In this instance, seems to me the player is the one pushing for the move, so club has a choice to either cash in or take a chance on getting more for another good or better season and possible promotion.
Also an unsettled player in the ranks isn't the best ?
