• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Wouldn't it make more sense to stick with Planet Swans, as this name will be more familiar with the lurkers/new fans we had during our PL stay?

That’s surely an argument for changing it back to the site’s original name?

It's more the site name, I guess the ability to use both domain names will mean Planet Swans will always point here but I just wondered the views on switching the name of the site back to it's origins. It's a relatively tight vote

Nothing tight about 58% to 48%.

Generation defining events have been decided by less. Governments are decided by less. You can’t deny democracy, blah, blah.....

JA.net is the spiritual name.

It’s 58/48 for JA.net. It’s a landslide. Get it done!

JackArmy.net sounds and feels like a chav name, Planet Swans is far more affluent etc.

Did you or Itchy do maths at school... ;) :D

Many of us started out posting on janet but do we need the nostalgia to define who and what we are?

I was very undecided and was going to post a few thoughts but since typing I've come a decision...crap, no I haven't. Arghhhh!
