• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I can see fans losing their shizz with the players leaving… and I understand why.

But my belief is that Russell Martin is no mug and he’s actually instigating getting some of these players out to create the team he wants.

Let’s hold fire until the end of the window before losing our minds.

Stuart James seems to think we’ve got a few high quality players in coming today too - today could be a stroke of genius getting rid of deadwood like Lowe.

Not a nice start to the day. I usually go into panic mode about now, but trying to stay positive.

Martin would not haven taken this job without knowing who we were possibly losing, we wouldn't be paying half a mill for a management team to not give them any tools.

Stu James expects incomings of decent quality as per above post. Martin has two weeks to put his stamp on the team. It's a rebuild, we all knew this was coming but the worry is as we are now, it's a relegation candidate side imo, but that could change by 11 tonight.

I'm not happy at all about the fee's for Roberts and Lowe though, never easy, but letting contracts run down as cost us a bit with Roberts and now Grimes

Agreed re the fees. £1.5m for Lowe is, frankly, a steal. He was a little inconsistent for us, but 14 goals in a single season is a decent return for a makeshift striker. Then again, playing devil's advocate, the low price does give credence to the argument that we have been attempting to shift him all Summer. Also if it goes through, we'll also receive double what we paid for him
