• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Playing the man and not the ball is a foul

That's what some old boy told me.
Simple game football.

3 points, move on ;)

By all accounts our penalty shouldn't have been one as Bidwell played through the defenders foot.

Did the defender actually touch the ball? If he didn't then even if Bidwell played through the foot then he prevented Bidwell playing it... If he did touch it then ignore the question 😁

Just seen it, doesn't touch the ball.

Slow motion shows his foot going beyond the ball with Bidwell hitting 80% of the ball with outside of his boot the rest onto the defenders foot.
Had to play through a percentage of his foot to get to the ball but the defender does not touch the ball in his attempt of the tackle.

It's one of those decisions that gets given but doesnt get given every time.

As I also put in the match report it's one of those you are more likely to get when it is on a player from the defending team compared to a player of the attacking team

If that was the same foul on Fulton at the other end of the pitch we probably wouldn't have got a penalty

I reckon the ref did it just to wind Colin up anyway

Well, that and Mr Cooper senior asked him to do it

Yeah - it's one of those that is understandable if it's given, but you'd be a bit miffed if it was given against your team. I've seen so many of those challenges go unpenalised when the attacking player has kicked the ball into the distance.

I have to admit I felt quite fortunate that we were given it yesterday.

I'm confused now, are you talking about the Bidwell penalty? Stonewaller. In what world is that not a pen?
