Shocking reply, I expected much better.Except to achieve those results he binned much of what he'd spent the last two years trying and failing miserably to make work.
We switched to a back four. We stopped that short goal kick routine. We stopped playing risky defensive passes just for the sheer suicidal hell of it. We started putting players in the right positions; Ntcham was excellent in that last ten games playing in the central midfield position he should have been in all along instead of in a wider role (seems familiar that). Even Fisher looked more comfortable with a defence doing non-stupid things ahead of him.
If we'd achieved those results without making such changes then you could reasonably call it progress. Otherwise we'll have to call it what it was: An admission of failure.
There isn't anything stupid with the Doc's reply, he's just pointing out the facts.Shocking reply, I expected much better.
Do you realise how stupid that post sounds?
So a manager changes his approach, that’s progress as well, it used to be called learning from your mistakes, on here it seems it’s just used as a stick to beat someone with.
End of discussion for me, it’s not going to happen and at 61 life has taught me not to waste your time trying to make people change their opinions
But it wasn't progress with Martin as he would revert to his favourite tactics after a good run of form. Look at his two years here, long runs of poor results, then he changes his tactics like Dr.W said and we go on a good run of results, then he reverts to type. There's no reason to believe the same wouldn't have happened again had he stayed.Shocking reply, I expected much better.

Brum was a personal low as well. Think that was also a 2 goal lead that evaporated in injury time.I honestly question why some fans go to the football. It clearly isn't to watch anything exciting on the pitch.
Who enjoyed our twenty odd games without winning.
My personal highlight was throwing away a two nil lead against Millwall in the last couple of minutes of the game along with that awful social media clip before the Blackburn game.
So many low lights over the two years.Brum was a personal low as well. Think that was also a 2 goal lead that evaporated in injury time.

First time to get the half time drinks in, second time to go home!To be honest I’m struggling to remember most of his time here. My wife used to wake me up about twice a game to tell me something had happened.
Think of the boost for Swansea hair salons though. That twat coming back really would be the end for me, I think.
There's only room for one decent head of hair in the home dugoutYou can rest easy, no way he comes back when there’s a guy sitting next to the home dugout with nicer hair.
If yer there next Saturday, give him a 'Sorry to hear your leaving ' card. You can rest easy, no way he comes back when there’s a guy sitting next to the home dugout with nicer hair.
Or "what are you still doing here".If yer there next Saturday, give him a 'Sorry to hear your leaving ' card.
