Reading vs Bournemouth

Not for much longer, if continue to respect teams, Rotherham are down there for a reason, 3 points minimum, no matter how much horse crap that it's a tough game

Rotherham were a hard team to break down when we played them at home, they will be buoyed by the game against Boro so it will be a tough game. As for Reading we battered them but their keeper had a stormer . Nothing to do with anything else.

Mate, they're in the bottom three, anything other than 3 points is a disaster

We no doubt should look to win against a team in bottom three but the key principle as it always has been is win your home games, draw your away. Don’t lose. We need to make up from Brentford but a draw wouldn’t be the end of the world

It will if we have ambitions of a top 2 finish, it's how this league works, you need wins (pointing out the obvious, obviously)

wasn’t it by identifying the Brentford’s goalie weaknesses that we got our equaliser ?

It took until 70 odd minutes to have one shot on target, but as you've tried to be cocky, I won't make you look an idiot

Not trying to be cocky mate just pointing out holes in your argument that we don’t try to find weaknesses in the opposition. Sometimes you just have to admit the opposotion is better than us in certain games and Wednesday was one of those games - not much you can do if not allowed much of the ball. That does not mean they are better over the whole season - time will tell on that one. In our 2 games against each other it was 2 points each.

However you carry on slagging our team and its management off to your heart’s content !

I'm not slagging our team off, I'm just pointing out the obvious realities of a promotion push, I'd be happy with a play off spot, but as one of the greatest to ever manage "I never played for a draw in my life" was a glaringly obvious statement of success.. but Steve played for a draw, I'm only pointing out the obvious, but people can't seem to grasp it

I tend to agree with Skip, but a bit less forcefully. I'd be very disappointed if we don't try and impose ourselves on them and assert the fact that we are a superior team. I don't much care about the results they've dogged out lately. They aren't very good and that's why they are pretty much adrift of even a shitehouse team like Cardiff. Could we lose? Absolutely. Rodgers total football team lost to a worse Derby, Scunny and Preston than this years Rotherham and Derby teams. Should we win? Absolutely. We have to start nailing these if we want to be top two, which is why in 2011, we weren't.

Got no issues with what you’ve written there Skip. Your opening posts just seemed to be bigging up our competitors whilst playing us down, even though at this point in time we’re higher up the table albeit by a fine margin. so we must be doing a lot of thinga right although we can all agree it’s not perfect - it very rarely is. Let’s hope we are back to our winning ways tomorrow.

Thought Muff's defence looked very slack and weak for all three goals conceded.
And Reading's keeper went down like a sack of shyte for Muff's goal.

You’re right about Brendan’s team. We had a few awful games that season. I am old enough to remember Toshack’s 1981 team. We lost 5 league games in a row in January that season. Can you imagine the internet reaction if it has existed back then?

The second tier has always been a war of attrition and all teams get terrible results and performances from time to time. I think we should approach today as though we lost on Wednesday (still hard to believe we didn’t) and desire to put it right.

Aye, I think I said somewhere else, it was normal for us to take a mid winter break. We can't afford that if we want auto this time. Really do need to put these teams away. An ugly 1-0 will do fine. Any pretty stuff can wait until the sun starts shining.

Wow Reading look good. Them and Brentford look really good

Wycombe not giving Brentford the respect we did though -2-2 at half time today. Bottom club having a go. They'll probably still lose mind.
