Relegation Update

We are bang in trouble, anybody who thinks differently are deluded.
Not confident at all that we have enough about us to get results against either Derby or Plymouth, we’re consistently inconsistent and that’s our problem plus I don’t think some of our players can handle the undoubted pressure that will come with those games.

Do you honestly think Stoke and Cardiff are going to get 6 points more than us from now until the end of the season? No chance. They'd have to do that and us not pick up a point more. If we win one game they have to get at least 9

Is it time for the club to announce slashing prices for the 2 games. We need a good atmosphere

Move on 1 set of fixtures and what you're saying looks far more likely. We're getting 0 v Leeds, but:
- scum could easily get 3 home to Sheff Wed
- Hull v Luton could be a draw
- Plymouth probably won't get anything away at Watford (but it's not insurmountable).
- Oxford probably not getting anything at boro.
- pompey will likely beat Blackburn home.
- Stoke could get at least a point home to QPR.
- Derby don't play until the Wednesday after but I absolutely think they'll beat preston home.

So after next round of fixtures the points will look like:

QPR - 46
Pompey - 45
Us - 44
Oxford - 42
Scum - 42
Derby - 41
Hull - 41
Stoke 40
Luton - 36
Plymouth - 33

Likely only 1 relegation place that we can fall into but we are still bang in the cachu if we don't recover from what will be a battering at Elland Road

The Derby and Plymouth games could well be defining games. The club should now be doing everything possible now to get fans into the ground.

Both will sell out their allocation and we have 7k empty seats per game now.

There needs to be a commercial offering to get fans back especially for these 2 games along with Hull

Had a food think on things and we are going to be in the mix after the Leeds game and lose 1 of the games against Plymouth and Derby.....we could even find ourselves in the drop zone.

The old saying that we are sleep walking to relegation is so true with this club and fans at the moment. I think it would be ignorant, naive and silly to say that we are not in danger of getting relegated.

No manager
Boardroom a mess
Small squad
No quality in the final 3rd

Too many have their head in the sands and have done all season for me.

I'm sorry the hysteria on here is ridiculous.

So you're telling me that we will be in the relegation zone with 4 or 5 games to go with 45/47 points (providing we only lose 1 of the games against Plymouth and Derby) and that five teams will have picked up enough points to overtake us by then?

That requires Stole, Derby, Cardiff to name just a few to each pick up possibly 7/8 points over the next 3 games.

It won't happen. We need 6 points and we will get it but nobody will be in the bottom three with 45/47 points with 4 or 5 games to go.

We need cool heads. The bookies reckon we will be fine and we've got another new manager bounce to look forward to.

We're in this mess due to sticking with Williams for far longer than we should have.

Completely with you on this.

Teams below us have win 6 games or so all season. They aren't going to win another 4 on the bounce to over take us.

I sincerely hope your right.
However after we beat Boro' we were 150/1 to be relegated 2 games later we are 33/1. So yes the bookies think we will be ok but they are not as confident as last week. This mirrors with some supporters being concerned. The drop in odds is not because we lost our last two games it's because all teams below us have picked up points to our zero.

I agree to an extent. It's going to be a bit nervy over the next few games but when you look at the fixture list the other teams can't keep picking up wins they have over the last couple of weeks.

Stoke in particular have a nightmare run in. They'd be ones to watch for the drop

I just can't see it mate. And quite frankly if we don't win 2 of our next 7 under the new manager then he shouldn't be here next season either

Yep, melodrama is insane. One team might do it but Cardiff, Stoke, derby etc aren't all going to do it as they all have to play each other. It also assumes we're barely pick yo any more points which is ridiculous. Nobody could have seriously expected any points against Watford, Burnley or Leeds (even if we were mid table) ffs. We fucked ourselves at Watford and could have easily drawn it. We are fine

Will we have a new one this season then?
