• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

£18million with Birch at Sours knowing our finances inside out.

Keith has updated his scoop on the other page to say it’s an initial bid of £7M. Nuts.

Why oh why can't the Americans see that if we keep the squad, and add a couple, then we are likely to be promoted.
Then it's £150m or more.
Short sighted greedy good for nothing b@stards they are.
Make me eat my words please.

Norwich just sold Ben Godfrey to Everton for £20-25m (depending on the source) and he had a year's experience in the Prem at the same age, which Joe doesn't have.

Spurs would be taking the piss at £7m, but £18m would seem to be about the going rate.

Let's be fair, we can't turn our noses up at 18M.

Would be happy if we could get CCV as part of the deal and use the rest on an experienced centre half and centre forward.

This with fckn bells on.
Plus Joe has been injured on the sidelines for fckn ages, gonna be spending lot more time on the bench now !

If, as seems likely, Joe is sold, will he be replaced?

If not, then Cooper might well have a decision to make...

Swans shouldn't accept less than £18-20 million for Joe, Joe potentially can be one of the best around in his position with more games and experience under his belt. In my opinion he is the modern day complete centre half, 6"4 ball ball playing, reads danger and is deceptively quick, I can't remember any championship striker beating him in a foot race. The only weakness for me is heading in the opposition area from our corners. I hope the yanks don't get desperate and under value him like with the Jordan Ayew transfer.

So we have 2 CBs, Guehi and Cabango and we play 3 at the back, shocking.

18M for Joe is a laugh, Maguire cost upwards of 80M, and we saw his defending at the w/end.

If it's true that Spurs came in with an opening offer of £7 million for Joe then we should refuse any more talks with them. Absolutely insulting offer. He's better than Godfrey who's just gone to Everton for £25 million rising to £30+ million.

This sounds more promising.
