I dont see it myself. I wasnt convinced about Dan James and Im not convinced by by Rodon. Time will tell.

I definitely wasn’t convinced about James but I just feel this boys got a touch of the Beckenbauers about him.

Aye, I thought he had a touch of class carrying the ball forward, and you can’t coach that. Sadly at the moment we probably had to take the 11m. This is why I’d like to see sell on, not add on. It’s probably ‘fair’ as at today when we have no spectators until god knows when. I know some smart people that would bet that we’ll be in the same boat this time next year.

I will wait until he wins Premier league player of the season before I try and evaluate the financial merits of the transfer. Last year there was bleating aplenty about how we were fleeced by Utd for Dan James. There are no Utd fans who agree with that right now.

Does feel like we've been short-changed on this one, but I read your post and had a think about our big player sales and realised we've probably got the better end of the deal the vast majority of the time (if you don't factor in what we did with the money we received on some occasions).

Players we've sold for more than £10m:

Sigurdsson
Bony
Ayew
McBurnie
Allen
James
Mawson
Shelvey
Llorente
Ash Williams
Ben Davies

How many of the buying clubs ended up being happier with the deal? I'd say probably Newcastle with Shelvey and Spurs with Davies. The others range from average to complete flops.

IN TODAYS MARKET we HAVE been short changed. But todays market is FUBAR. Its will go pop soon enough. If we keep selling we keep breathing. Thems the facts.

You’re probably right Monsta. I think if Joe keeps progressing he’ll leave Spurs for a big side in about three years.

Huge club mun

(Haven't won anything for 66 years).

I used to drink with Joe's grandfather ex Swan, Bradford City player, Peter Rodon, when he was at Ammanford ( Taken far too young) and he would have been so proud of the progress of his grandson Joseph Peter Rodon.

Good luck Joe, I hope you have a brilliant and productive career at Spurs, Wales and beyond.

£11 rising to £15 million ... about right.
TBH would have preferred £12 up front.

Always a shame when a local boy leaves but I like the look of our squad tonight to be honest
