Not sure if this is a rabbit hole to go down, but that...isn't a volley. Do people call that a volley these days? If he'd hit it first time, straight from Joe's pass while the ball was in the air, that would have been a volley; but he controlled it, let it bounce and then hit it. Not a volley.
