What a player, what an athlete.

Has to the best ever.

I see Freddie Woodman assisted both his goals today.

I would say Ronaldo as he has proved himself at more than one club, both Ronaldo and messi seem able to take being constantly fouled without getting many injuries , that's something any player claiming to be the best needs

Nope. Gordon Banks.

See you Gordon and raise you Puskás !

This is why you can’t have a greatest ever. They can’t play all positions. Ronaldo and Messi are crap defenders and goalkeepers. It’s a team game, spanning 100 years where you can only be the best in your position on the standards of the time. Neither Messi nor Ronaldo might have survived Hunter, Harris and Smith in a foot of mud. I think the question is, because of their similarity, which is the best of the two. For me Messi, by a fair old way.

Oh, and Woodman gifted him both goals today. On. A. Plate.

For me, Ronaldo is the more impressive footballer physically and he works his socks off to be as good as he is, while Messi is the more naturally gifted footballer (not saying he doesn't work very hard mind).

If Ronaldo drags Man United to the title this season he'll have strengthened his case. Messi finally winning PSG the Champions League they've been trying to buy for years would strengthen his case, but then again he's playing alongside Neymar and Mbappé, so he has a much stronger supporting cast.
