For Twitter users and dog lovers...

Long story short - Rory and his Mrs have taken in a rescue dog. She (the dog) was found dumped in Romania, taken to a vet and then brought to the UK via a dog rescue charity. Rory was literally handed her just a few days before Christmas. The dog, clearly traumatised, has since spent the vast majority of time hiding behind his sofa, despite the best efforts to integrate her into the home. However the first sings of positivity are starting to become evident, as seen in tweet below.

It's a fascinating story to follow, I hope for a happy ending.

Our rescue dog took a while to settle in - we were told she was quite old. * years later and she terrorizes the postman and acts younger than when she arrived. Is Rory a Swans fan though?

My sister has a rescue dog from Serbia. Took a while to settle in but she's a total cuddle monkey now.

Our Ruby from Hungary. First few weeks she had a bleed from a sore that didn’t stop. Took her to the vet who did a scan and confirmed it wasn’t cancerous. Big dark shadow though. He had no idea what it was and operated. Was touch and go. Cut a long story short the vet in Hungary had left the gauze in during the op when she was spayed. Six years later and she’s forgotten all about her previous life !

I'm a cat person who is still thinking of our passed family member...but great to hear guys! 8-)
