Awful management yet again from Russ. He just hasn’t got it in his locker.

One of the worst teams to come to us this season and they’ve waltzed away with 4 goals…all completely avoidable.

Every possibility the management will down tools now. ( tongue in cheek arguably did that anyway)...Russ will now have seen the owners for what they are and will be planning an exit.
Could be a case now of sweeping out and planning for next season.
Likely we'll just have enough to stay up.

Carlsberg don't do managerial exits ... 🤞

I think what's hurting most of us tonight, is that that last few minutes has really killed the season now. Even tho we know we not quite there, sub consciously I suspect that if we'd won, it would have prolonged the hope a bit longer.
Fck, that really hurt today.

Are we the third best team in the league... No... The end.

No we aren't the 3rd best team in the league but with a few additions in the January window the Yanks could have really gambled to get back into the prem and all of the hype / financial benefits it would have brought. We are bumping along to finish somewhere between 11 and 20th.

But they won't gamble they've shown that. Look at when cooper was here and we were top two most of the season, all we need was a quality striker which they didn't get the rest, is history, Russell had said numerous times that we are going to have to do it differently which means getting there spending little to no money. The biggest hurdle is Russell himself, the yanks could spend twenty million on the squad but the manager isn't capable of getting a tune out of them.

He’s been given money though and he cannot deny it. His prize defensive asset allowed himself to be beaten by the attacker twice within the space of ten minutes. From 3-2 up we go 3-4 down.

can we stop with this nonsense of 'we are only a few signings away from...' every season we say that even in when we were in the premier league. the reality is we are always going to be a few signings away from whatever our objective is because every time we do bring in a 'few signings' we sell our best players anyway, so ultimately we are always going backwards.

Does the third best team in the league always win the playoffs then?

Spot on Saint. Being a supporter of any team other than the super-wealthy elite is all about hope, often irrational hope. Deep down, we all know this team is too inconsistent/not good enough to make the playoffs.

But within a matter of days to have the owners preside over a shambolic transfer window and then have the manager preside over a shambles of a performance like that, it really is like the final nail in the coffin. It's a bitch having nothing to hope for in the first week of February.

that was utter rubbish yesterday, heap of shite, manager and players all got to take the blame,
i'd have a clear out, top to bottom,

owners
management
players

all gone.

Usually how it works, if your team wins the playoffs then your team is the third best in the league, in terms of results for sure, unless the playoff final is rigged by the officials.

Ah right, although if the team in 6th finish 20 points behind 3rd and then win the playoff final, not sure that makes them the 3rd best team in the league.

All academic anyway, as we aren't making the playoff places.
